Deedbox terms of use

Last updated: 29 October 2026

These terms apply when you use Deedbox at deedbox.net.au. Deedbox is run by Sarah Shelley, trading as Deedbox (ABN 62 388 917 764), Adelaide, South Australia ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Deedbox, you agree to these terms.

What Deedbox does

Deedbox reads public records about a website, combines them with your answers, and shows who controls the domain, email, certificate and access, what renews when, and what to fix. Paid plans add automatic checks and email alerts when something changes.

Information, not advice

Public records can be incomplete, out of date or hidden by privacy services, so results may not always be accurate. Deedbox gives general guidance, not legal, technical or financial advice. Before acting on a result, especially anything involving domain ownership or transfers, check with your registrar, host or web professional.

Automatic checks run on a schedule and can miss short changes, or be delayed if a public lookup service is unavailable. Alerts help you notice problems; they don't replace keeping your own renewal details up to date.

Plans and prices

Plan Price (AUD) Includes
Free $0 1 website, checks when you run them
Owner $9 a month or $90 a year 3 websites, weekly automatic checks, email alerts, 12 months of history
Studio $39 a month or $390 a year 30 websites, daily automatic checks, portfolio view, branded PDFs, unlimited history

Deedbox isn't currently registered for GST, so no GST is added to these prices. If that changes, we'll tell you before it affects what you pay.

We may change prices or plan features. We'll email you at least 30 days before a price change applies to you, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

Your information

You own the information you add to Deedbox. You let us store and process it only to run Deedbox for you. Our privacy policy explains what we collect and how we use it. You can delete your account at any time from Account.

Availability

We aim to keep Deedbox running smoothly, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or because of problems outside our control, such as with a public lookup service or hosting provider.

Our responsibility

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Apart from those rights, and to the extent the law allows:

Ending your use

You can stop using Deedbox and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why where we reasonably can.

User test memberships

People who completed a Deedbox user test receive one year of the Owner plan free, starting when they create an account after launch. The membership is personal and can't be transferred or exchanged for cash.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we'll email you before it applies. These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia.
